Shires Junior Golf Tour

Opportunities for junior golfers to learn, play and enjoy the game of golf

Shires Junior Golf Tour was formed at the start of 2014 by Paul Bull and Mark Faulkner. Both Paul, who is the Tour Director, and Mark have children playing the game, so they have learnt exactly how to promote and further the enjoyment for all ages.

All the Tour organisers have been involved in junior golf for a number of years and have vast experience of being junior delegates at their local golf club.

SJGT volunteers all donate their time free of charge and hold either a CRB certificate or the new DBS certificate.

A safeguarding juniors and welfare policy will be in place at all times.

PGA-qualified Golf Club professionals Carl Sainsbury and Stuart Kier have also took time out of their busy schedules to give help and advice to the juniors.

Rob Digby and Tracey Barney  help out on the competition desk.

Beth Healey, Jordan Darnell and Andrew Watson  who all have competed on the Tour during the first three years, will be involved on competitions days during 2017.

Darrin Keech, Amanda Gibbs, Jane Burley, Colin Alleway and Andy Fairweather, who all have sons, daughters or grand children playing on the Tour, will help out on competition days.

If you are unsure who they are, look out for the bright green Shires Junior Golf Tour tops!
